My Samsung S4 started acting up last week, 3 months after I got the phone. I called Vodacom who advised that the batch number of the battery was known to have faults and that I could go to the service centre in Boksburg where they would give me a new battery and a loan phone if I had to leave it there. When I got there, I was told that there was no more stock and that I could possibly be sorted on Thursday. He told me that there were no loan phones. I am self employed and rely on my phone 24/7. The phone currently switches off or freezes every 5 minutes making it virtually impossible to use. I find it unacceptable that Samsung has not made provision for the faulty batteries to be replaced nor has it been publicised.
