I arranged to have my car repaired at Menlyn Auto Magic for hail damage. The assistant told me to bring the car in between 9-11am on the 2 May. On 2 May, an enraged, Mr. Gibbons, called to say the car was supposed to be there at 7am. When I got there, Mr. Gibbons was extremely furious & said no one said I can bring the car in at 9am and he was going to take me off the list because his contractor was leaving. While he was doing checks on the car, his contractor opened my car bonnet and dropped it from a ~90 degree angle. The bonnet actually 'slammed' down & there was a loud thump. Both I and Mr. Gibbons heard this. The next day Menlyn Auto Magic said the car was ready but it had come in with some damage on the bonnet & enquired if I would like it to be repaired. On finding out that I knew they had damaged the bonnet when they dropped it from a 90 deg angle they agreed to fix it at their cost. When I went to pick the car up (9 May), Mr. Gibbons started to argue with me about the bonnet. He then threw his arms in the air & stormed off muttering in Afrikaans. He slammed his office door & drew his blinds. They DID NOT even fix ALL the hail damage. I DO NOT recommend Menlyn Auto Magic.
