I used a Europcar hire car for two weeks whilst my car was being panel beaten. My pickup and drop off point was at the panelbeaters, the day I dropped the vehicle back at the panel beaters I filled the car up next door the panel beaters, I still have the receipt. They then did not return my full deposit of R750, they only returned R605 of my deposit, when I queried this with the branch they said that I had used nearly R100 worth of petrol driving 300 meters from the fuel station to the panel beaters, the next answer I got from them was that maybe there was an airlock in the tank when I filled the tank and it just looked full, but if that is the case maybe then there was an airlock when I received the car and did not receive it with a full tank either. When the representative from Europcar met me, I said please look at the fuel, is it full, he replied yes then drove off with the car, it is possible that he drove off and used the R100 worth of fuel. I consider not returning my full refund criminal and believe you are this money from me. DO not use Europcar, you will be ripped off.
