I ordered pizza, a Triple Decker, on Saturday night 29 June 2013 at exactly 18:37. The driver arrived at my house after exactly one hour at 19:41. I told him about the 40 minute rule and he agreed with me but he wouldn't give me the pizza. So I decided to phone Debonair's Pizza in Rivonia. I phoned in and spoke to the lady who answered the phone, Beverley. She said, "Yes I can have the pizza for free because of the 40 minutes rule." The driver refused and said he only takes instructions from the manager, Ntabiseng Serepong. To my surprise this manager refused and said I only get R10 off because the sticker is still red. But it was clearly black. Mazzarine, the driver, was very rude to me and very aggressive to me and the manager's customer service was very poor. Although I was feeling very aggrieved, I agreed to pay the amount so that my family could eat their supper after waiting for one hour. I, however, expressed to her my dissatisfaction with her treatment of me and I told her that I would report both her and the driver to the head office. I feel very aggrieved and robbed because it was not I who imposed the 40 minute rule.
