On Friday our office ordered Pizza at 12:49. At 1:30 we had not received our pizza's so I phoned to ask for an update. I was told the delivery guy was on his way. My office is 1.7 Kilometres from the branch.
At 1:45 I phoned the branch again as it had been 15 minutes and by now the delivery should be here if he was on his way at 1:30. Again I was told he is on his way and they were sorry for the delay.
Eventually the driver showed up at 1:55 with our order. He said he had JUST left the store.
Instead of lying and saying the delivery man is on his way, rather tell the customer there is a delay. Of course the 'red sticker' was still red because the bag the pizzas are delivered in are heated. No wonder Debonairs did away with their 40 Minute rule as they know they never actually get to the customer in less than 40 minutes! Even if the customer is less than 2 kilometres away!
Disappointing service. We will think twice before ordering at the office again.
