MUCH later than 40min

Last week my colleague and I decided to order pizzas from Debonair's. I placed the order online and received a notification that my pizza would be delivered within 40min. Eventually nearly an hour later I called the store and the person who answered told me that the driver left late and that it was drizzling so he can't drive fast. He eventually arrived about an hour and 15min later. I then enquired as to whether I still need to pay for the order seeing that it arrived after the 40 minute "rule" that Debonair's has going on. He then quite confidently went ahead and chastised me for even asking the question and said that the store only opens at 10am and that it takes them 40 minutes to warm up the ovens plus they have to carry all the stock from the fridges and get everything ready. Now I would have understood had someone (upon receipt of my online order) called me and explained why the pizza would be late. Nothing like that happened. I had to take the liberty of calling the store to find out what was up. Then I'm not given an explanation, I'm given a weather report. I lodged a complaint on the website and was told that the store tried contacting me but I have no missed calls???
