First National Bank
How safe is your money with FNB

I bank with FNB with the mindset that my money is safe and protected.

On 9th April 2013 I got a sms stating that a case has been opened against me, I phoned to find out what case and what reason. The guy pretended to be a Police officer and he was looking for a Mr Naidoo in regards with a murder case. I told the guy its the wrong number they have. So he said he will get more info on the case and contact me back, about 5min later he called back and stated that he has to get some details from me so that he can clear it with head office. He started asking questions that sounded fishy, so I told him he should phone back. About 30min later I saw my sim card was not registering on my phone, I called MTN and they said there's been a sim swop done on my sim. Went on my emails and saw that 2 transactions was done via cellphone banking R1000 and R465, I phoned FNB and they blocked my cellphone banking preventing any further transactions being done on my cellphone banking. Filled in a cellphone banking dispute transaction form from FNB. On the 22nd April got a respond from FNB that my money won't be refunded or reversed.

So how safe is your money really with FNB.

How can we help you???
