On Sunday, 24th March 2013, I went to withdraw cash from an ABSA ATM on William Nicol (Shell Garage). After waiting for a few minutes, the ATM did not produce the requested cash amount (R4000). I received a slip saying the transaction was not successful and would be reversed but it has not yet been reversed. I called the call centre immediately and they assured me that it would be reversed. I called again on Tuesday morning (complaint number: 2282118). This time, the call centre agent said they would get back to me within four days? I find this surprising as this is a simple reversal due to a faulty ATM. Poor service delivery and shocking turnaround time.
