On Sunday 27/10/13 i withdrew R1000 cash from an ABSA Express ATM. I eceived a notification via sms that ek had just withdrawn R1000 but no cash was dispensed, i received an ATM slip saying that 'unable to process the selected transaction at the moment. Please try again later.' I called the call centre and was told to log a query at the branch, which i did. I have had to call the call centre at my own costs to keep following up, today again i called and was told, case closed, the atm did dispense the cash. No, case is not closed, i did not get my cash, i have slips telling me that my transaction cannot be processes. Check the atm camera, no cash was dispensed. Give me proof that this money was dispensed. I find it appalling that such little attention is given to the small people that bank with Absa, such little consideration is shown to my complaint. If i had thousands of rands gouing through my account every month, would i get better service. My debit orders were returned, those costs also put against my account. I do not have a R1000 to throw away, i receive a medical disability benefit, i do not have money to waste on trying to get my own money back.
