I have been a loyal ABSA client for about 25 yrs. I started with Volkskas and had a denim card. This morning an amount went off my account and I went to the branch at around 09:00 this morning. I ask the lady to please reverse that amount cause its not authorised. To my surprise I was told that I need to pay R26.00 CASH to have it reversed. I had to physically go to the teller to withdraw cash to pay the information desk. She proceeded to go to the tellers inside, with the deposit slip, to pay the money... WTH?? I will be changing my account before the end of the month and I will also be advising my parents (who are Private Bankers at ABSA) to also switch. I am so disappointed in ABSA its unreal. I expected so much more from a leading Bank. Not cool ABSA, not cool! :(
