I went to African Bank on Wednesday (27/02/13), I had to sit at the branch for four hours despite your adverts stating that "it takes minutes", after the four hours I was told that my application is at head-office and i will have feedback the following day (28/02/13). I was not called back as promised and had to take it upon myself to call head-office for feedback on the status of my application, eventually I was informed certain documents are required, which i submitted on Friday (01/03/13). I was informed that I would be notified in two hours of the outcome, once again i was not informed of any progress. When I called the branch, I was informed very rudely by the "manager" Petronella, that there is nothing they can do until 48hrs have passed, again I was promised a phone call today (04/03/13), which i did not receive, I called the branch and was informed that Petronella is on training and no one could assist. I called head-office and they informed me that there is nothing they can do because the branch did not submit the missing documents. I requested my documents back and they refused to hand it over. Overall the staff at the Steeldale branch is very rude and unhelpful.
