My Card is "Comprimised"
I called the call centre today as my card wouldn't work for purchases since Thurs last week. This was the least of my problems. When I called I was advised that my card was cancelled and I need to speak to security. I was transferred to security who said they I need to speak to, was given a num and called. The guy at took some time to figure out what was happening and confirmed the card was comprimised only now the account is invalid and shows as closed. Then I was transferred back to card who I had to speak to, to cancel my card. I spoke to a consultant who told me the account is marked as closed and I need to go to a branch. I went to the branch and spoke to George at enquires who pointed me to the consultants after I told him just reseting my pin is not going to help me. I was then assisted by Thiani who was helpful but alas my card still does not work. He cancelled the hot card status and reset my pin, both at his desk and at the atm. I went to do a purchase and this was declined response code 05. Thiani to my surprise actually called me to ask me if the card was working, I though maybe there is some hope for Standard bank afterall but I wonder, will my card ever wrk
