Card closed NOW WHAT?!

On Friday 8 February 2013 I called the call centre (086 120 1000) and spoke to Yaseen about closing my garage card. I was advised that I shouldn't email / fax a letter as it would take longer and that he would do it telephonically. As a result my card was closed and my husband called on Saturday morning (ref CRD2051) and spoke to Dipoum who too was asked to close the GARAGE CARD! Low and behold on Saturday afternoon when checking my internet banking I noticed that my credit card no longer reflected. After calling the same call centre (ref CRD6011) I was transferred to reinstatements which is CLOSED on a Saturday! I called again and spoke to a helpful Lesego who eventually got her Supervisor on the line (Ethel). She said that she would follow up and get whomever was responsible to reinstate the card and phone me to explain. Well it is 16h34 on Monday and I have still not heard from anyone at Card Division. I called (ref CRD9840) and after holding on for 19 MINUTES!!! I put the phone down. I was also told that I had to send a letter to get the card reinstated. I'm sorry I, nor my husband, caused this mess and we will not do so. SORT IT OUT STANDARD BANK - NOW!!!
