I lost my bank card and closed it on the 18th of July, I then went to my FNB branch where they closed it and issued me with a temporary card.
Weeks later I received a text stating that my new card is ready for collection. Couldn't collect the new card because of work so I kept using the temp card.
On the 23rd this month I went shopping for grocery and to my surprise my card declined, I have never been so humiliated EVER!
Went to an ATM and my card was rejected. Only the next day 24th September in the morning I got a text to say my card has been cancelled.
This morning I went to the bank and was informed that my card was returned and I'll only get it after 6 weeks. If my card was cancelled for security reasons then why wasn't I informed beforehand. I was so inconvenienced and ridiculed at the mall. Just want to say thank you FNB for your service and making me look like a FOOL. I'm closing my account and moving to CAPITEC as I've only heard good things about that bank.
