Incompetent personnel delaying insurance claim

Early Dec 2012 I was unfortunately in a vehicle accident, a man driving a double cab bakkie rode into the back of me damaging my vehicle. I was not too worried as I have insurance with PPS.
This was the beginning of terrible journey consisting of me having to phone many times to check on progress, to fight with incompetent assessors and struggle to get my vehicle repaired.
The time between the accident and the assessor was long and some rust began forming on the accident damage, this instantly made him decide it was old damage and then would not approve it for repair.
The assessor, James, used a tire tread gauge to measure the vehicle panels to see if any further damage had occurred. I was not able to be present and my wife was there. The assessor just ignored everything she had to say about the accident and resulting damage. Later he even to me about what my wife had said to him.
I have now had half of my vehicle repaired and am still struggling to get any feedback or response from PPS, Hollard Insurance or Exiliti (the assessors).
