After lodging a claim with Santam, I was informed by the first assessor that the vehicle had been started, and run for more than five minutes and all seemed ok. She had thus decided to send the vehicle to a mechanic. I then informed her that the oil filter was missing, the vehicle had no oil and what of the damage? Two more assessors and four months later, SANTAM are now repudiating my claim. WHAT OF THE DAMAGE CAUSED BY YOUR ASSESSOR WHICH IS MORE THAN THE ORIGINAL DAMAGE. I have been sending mails since November demanding my vehicle back. Santam, you have left me without transport for more than four months. After damaging my vehicle, you want to repudiate the claim... I think NOT. Subsequent to the Third assessor stating that hey had submitted their report, it has been six weeks!!! Get your act together so that I can take this to the Ombudsman. Where is my letter of repudiation??? Santam state that the vehicle was not because the locks were not damaged... well, check out "Simon Touch"... this device is designed to bypass all vehicle security and program blank keys with codes from the vehicles own ECU. Santam, you will never see my business again.
