I bought furniture at Furniture City in Woodmead in January 2011 on credit which was financed by African Bank. I had 24 months to pay back the debt per the agreement which I did via a debit order. The last debit order was supposed to be in December 2012 and it went through. Then in January 2013 the debited my account again, I then went to Woodmead to find out what the debit was for & they in turn called African Bank as per their system as per 31 December 2012 I didn't owe them anything. African Bank couldn't explain why they debited my account and the dodgy thing as per the lady at Woodmead the system was changed and it now said I owed R49. The lady on the line then said they will refund my account within 8 hours which is more than 24 months ago.
I'm disgusted by the fact that their customers base is medium to lower class & they think they can from people just because they can.
