FNB - How we will NOT help you?

I have been a client of FNB for many years. I applied for vehicle finance and was directed to Private Finance. The operator was Brian, and very helpful and confirmed that my application has been approved in principle and I had to forward copies of my ID, Driver's license, Proof of address as well as proof of income, which I did.
I have been on the Management vehicle scheme at my work for the last 13 years. I had 2 vehicles on this scheme, of which the latter was purchased in 2009. During this period I paid 2 instalments, short-term insurance as well as monthly running cost (petrol). Currently I have only one car on the scheme, which I want to get finance for and put it on my name. The total combined cost is over R6000.00 per month and I never defaulted on any payment.
This afternoon I received a call confirming that my request has been denied as a result of 2 clothing accounts (had for the last 25 years) and according to the lady, my payments on these 2 accounts were irregular. Some months I paid via EFT and some months in-store, however it's up to date.
How can I be seen to not be able to repay the vehicle finance through FNB, if I was able to do exactly that for the last 13 years
