I have been a client of ABSA all my life. A couple of months back i had some financial trouble and ABSA would not even be interested in helping me. Anyway, i got through that and paid off some accounts that were behind. At the end of May i had 2 debit orders that were returned, both of those were paid double the next month. Last month i wrote off my car and the insurance paid out so i settled my outstanding vehicle finance account with ABSA.
In more than 2 years i haven't missed a payment on my car and they never had any trouble getting money out of me for my credit card or overdraft.
This week when i applied for finance for my new car they rejected me, saying there were late payments and one month of returned debit orders.
BUT, WESBANK approved my finance??? And they have got the SAME info as ABSA?
Why is it that another bank is willing to help me but my own bank which i have been a loyal client off, just shrugs me off? And the lady from ABSA vehicle and finance has the audacity to tell me "Yes, but that is Wesbank and we are ABSA"... really?
The lack of interest to help your own clients is shocking!!!
All there is to say is Goodbye ABSA and Good Riddance!!
Hello FNB!
