Senseles decline of finance reapplication

About three months ago my dad had applied for finance to purchase a new vehicle via Kia Umhlanga, Durban of which was approved. After collection of the brand new vehicle, the clutch has failed one week later and the car was returned to dealership where it was established that the vehicle had a manufacturing fault. he vehicle was replaced with another alleged brand new vehicle which also had a manufaturing fault and only lasted one month. The second vehicle was returned and after much debate with Kia, including the poor customer service, my dad decided to cancell the contract. In the interim Wesbank was always kept in the loop with the occurances as it was affecting the monthly instalments. We had since decided to purchase a different vehicle brand and my dad has since been reapplying for finance and we cannot fathom why Wesbank who initially approved the finance is now delcining it? The fact of the matter is that the cancellation was no fault of the customer but entirely the dealerships having provided us with not one but two manufaturing fault vehicles.
Had we had not canelled the deal, we wud stihave a vehicle financed by Wesbank. Im going to take this up with the ombudsman
