Blocked Transactions for supposed sim swop

I needed to pay a once off bill and when I tried the online banking told me that it was not possible since there was a hold on my account because of a sim swop.

Firstly I have had the same phone and sim card for almost a year.
So I sent them an email. It took them over 6 hours to respond.
The person who read the email just sent me an automated response that indicated that it was for my protection because I had done a sim swop (refer above to the sim swop that never happened) and I must phone to get the service restored. (IE spend hours on the phone for a mistake they made)

I have internet banking so I don't have to spend hours on the phone.
So I replied to that email. 24 hours later I have not had a response.
I then tried my internet banking again after about 24 hours and same story.
So once again I send them an email and they reply with sorry but we cant help you, you must phone our hotline.

So in other words ABSA decides to block transactions on my account for no reason and refuse to unblock it even though they had no reason to block it in the first place.
