Faulty ATM cost me R200

I deposited money, R1930, at an ATM on the 8th January, this is an amount that i deposit on a monthly basis, however, the transaction could not be processed, I went to the Branch the next day, they tell me that on their records i deposited R1730 instead of R1930. How can I deposit R1730 whereas my monthly payment is R1930? I was considering opening an Account at FNB, but after this! I will never. Surely if the ATM was faulty, it could have miscalculated the money. Why don't they rely on previous deposits?
