I applied for a Flexi type extension to our existing ABSA Home loan beginning of the 3rd week of December 2013... Before the end of the month I was contacted by Home loans department as well as Sonja's stand in, Collins Nhlapo, with request for additional documentation.
I supplied Sonja with the require documentation on the 16th of Jan - only to have numerous conversations with her (all of which I had to initiate - no returned calls or initiative of any kind from Sonja), around the fact that she HAS NO RECORD of our application - ANYWHERE!!
Obviously the application has been submitted, but Sonja has no record of this & constantly she tries to pass the responsibility on to me! Asks for reference numbers (which I have never received), telling me she "just has no record" and that there is "nothing she can do", and finally suggested that I come in to the bank AGAIN, and start the application all over again...
I am self employed, spent a small fortune getting 3yrs of Audited Financial Statements, Proof of Income letters and the like, all of which the original prints from the Auditors were handed to Sonja with the application.
I WILL NOT BE RE-APPLYING! WHERE IS THE APPLICATION???
