FNB do not listen

I have applied to 'loan' money from my bond. I applied through the home loan sales department. I submitted all documentation and they phoned my wife. She had already signed the application. They have subsequently cancelled the application because they say she told them she was unaware of the application. How can they make that assumption? She told them she was unsure of the amount!!! The lady I spoke to said she would see if she could re-instate the application but did not sound convincing.
Let's see if they rectify their mistake or will they just ignore it.
