TEMPORARY OVERDRAFT FACILITY

I am extremely ill and cannot continue working as my work entails dictaphone typing. I visited the bank and requested a temporary overdraft on my cheque account for medical reasons. They flatly refused to assist. Firstly the credit lady was on lunch. Secondly they found historical Credit Bureau entries against my name. I pleaded with them to please assist me so that I could obtain medical assistance. They refused. My salary goes into that account every month and had for the past year. The bank upgraded my account from a Smart account to a Chequ account without me requesting it. I accepted the upgrade not realising that it would cost me considerably more in bank charges. My problem is just that they have no risk of losing their money as my salary goes into that account. I don't understand why they are not willing to assist me. I'm talking about a measly R2 000, 00 and my salary averages between R6 000, 00 to R8 000, 00 per month. Please help me and see whether you could assist in this regard.
