OVERDRAFT APPROVED THEN DECLINED

I moved my banking to FNB in Feb 2013 with the condition that they need to take me over as a client with an overdraft and credit card. The credit card at my previous bank was cancelled. the overdraft on the cheque account was approved but not available on my account as my salary needed to be deposited twice in the account. Today I contacted FNB to "activate" the overdraft. I was told that the original application expired, and I need to complete a new application telephonicly which I did. The consultant then informed me that according to my credit rating the overdraft is declined! this is unacceptable as for now I applied with a higher salary than in Feb! Now my cheque account is with FNB, although I am still having the overdraft at my previous bank. I need assistance from FNB as this is not what they tell the public during their marketing!!!
