Overdraft Facility

I had a savings account with Standard Bank and one of their consultants called me offering a cheque account. He further said I could apply for an overdraft facility, cheque book and credit card which I declined. This was in May 2012.Last month, December 2013 I requested statements from standard bank and noticed a charge/fee for an overdraft. I proceeded to call their customer service call centre to request for statements for the period of May 2012 to December 2013. These were emailed to my yahoo account and I was advised that I would be charged R20 per page (119 pages). My beef with Standard Bank is that I was clear with them that I don't want an overdraft facility. I have been charged for an overdraft facility since I changed over from my savings account with them to a cheque account. Even their mailpack states that one need to apply and consent for an overdraft facility. I made this clear in all my interaction and consultation with them be it phone call or with the consultant at the branch that I do not want an overdraft. Not only do I need my money returned for all the charges levelled since 2012, but how does such an institution get away with enforcing a facility and charging me
