I was contacted telephonically by Nedbank for an Amex card last week 11 December 2013. I was instructed to send a mail to [Email Removed] with a copy of my ID and latest payslip. I understood this to be for FICA. Yesterday I got an sms to say that I can collect my card. I'm a contractor and get paid per hour, and upon getting permission to leave work early so that I could collect my new card, I was already losing money all the way to the bank only to have a snotty consultant at the Northgate branch by the name of Caroline or something to that effect tell me that (after I had already signed and initialled all of the paperwork) I can't have my card because there was no FICA done and she was unwilling to accept the copy of my ID and latest water and lights bill because I didn't have my original. Now I sent TWO e-mails with this documentation last week only to be told a third different story yesterday. I recall whilst on the phone with the sales consultant that there is an opportunity to cancel the card within a 30 day period from that call date. I've taken advantage of that opportunity and declined the card. Nedbank won't have my business again. FI1806537
