I have both personal and company accounts with Nedbank and my cards are being declined by merchants both in South Africa and Namibia. The latest was at 13h00 today (22 Feb) with me garage card at a filling station in Benoni. The attendant informed me that it had been happening all day but only with Nedbank cards. I called the small business helpline yesterday, but was told there was nothing wrong with the card, and it was the point of sale machines. Myself and my co-directors travel frequently and all carry Nedbank cards. My colleaques card was rejected at the hotel in Namibia yesterday. This needs to be rectified ASAP as it is becoming extremely irritating as well as embarrassing.
