I took out a personal loan with FNB in 2010.On 28 September 2013 I asked for a settlement quote. I asked the consultant to debit my account with the quoted amount so that my account can be closed. To my surprise, a week later I asked for a Settlement Letter and I was told by a consultant that my account is still open and had a balance of -R2 000.I have been in touch with the bank since then. Since then, the bank sings a song "your account is closed" for me yet it continues to debit my account. The bank has been promising to send me the Settlement Letter together with the money taken from my account since the closure of my account. The last time I called the bank was on the 9 September 2013 where I was promised my refund and settlement letter within 7 working days and as I am writing now, - 10 days have passed since then. I have been calling the bank a number of times and I am no longer sure if I'll still believe their stories. It is so disappointing because I have exhausted every option I had to communicate with the bank that looks down at me.

I simply request you FNB to close my account as I no longer have business with you, send me evidence and refund me that is it.
