Bad Call Centre Etiquette and no sympathy

I called the Standard Bank Loan department on 0860 548 523 Option 3 for smses received. I spoke to Rieshen Green who began to tell me that I have an installment outstanding on a loan account that was taken out in 2009. In 2010 Standard Bank debited me for the full outstanding amount on my loan and they sent me a signed and dated settlement letter confirming that my account was now closed and that I didnt owe the bank any more money. In October this year, standard bank started debting me for this loan account again (4 years later) for an apparent out standing amount that I still owed. This call centre agent said that Standard bank debited my account for the loan in 2010 however they re-inbursed me for the incorrect debit taken which is why they are re-debiting me for this loan and he said that this account is actually not settled and closed. He said that Standard Bank do not send out settlement letters and he insinuated that I was lieing. I asked him what are my rights as a consumer with receiving the settlement document that i got in 2010 and he could not help me. His attitude was rude and abrupt and he kept threatening to put the phone down on me which is what he did...
