I have made arrangements with bank to pay R839 every month for a loan... which was on arrears however i have been paying between R1500 and R1000... i went to the branch to check the balance so i can close the account... was told its R2381 of which i payed..when i asked for a payed up letter was told that the amount i paid was a balance... not a settlement ..and i still need to pay R930..and was advised to ask for a settlement quote before paying..i have been asking for a settlement letter since last month/ or an email as proof that after paying the R930 the account will be settled... i am still waiting even now... as i'm told that they cannot download a quote for me because according to the system my account has been paid up... but because i didn't request a settlement quote before paying; the account accumulated interest... am no longer disputing this amount but i need proof that after paying this R930 the account will be closed or paid up
