Loan settlement

In June 2012 I took out a personal loan with FNB and decided to settle it this year. I paid up the account on the 1st of August 2013. I did not see the point to call FNB to close the account because I thought they will do it automatically since the balance was 0.00. When that did not happen, I called the call centre on Thursday 29 August - ref no: 1111377758330 to request them to close the account, refund me the money deducted after the settlement and send proof thereof. At the end of the call I was told that the request has been lodged and it will take 3-5 working days. When I did not get feedback, I called again this morning to be told that the account has been closed. Only when I asked to be emailed proof of that did their story change. Now my account is not closed because the money has not been allocated. Whose fauilt is that? I did my part and paid up the account a month ago. Now all I want is for FNB to close the account, refund my money, remove the account from my onlinr banking profile and send me proof of account closure. DO YOU THINK YOU CAN DO THAT FOR ME???
