I called african bank sometime in september to request a settlement amount n i was given a settlement amount of 70016.49, with in 7 days of that quote i paid 25000 at standard bank, then called in weeks after and requested for another settlement then i was given a settlement amount of 46319.00 with 7 days of that quotation i paid them the full amount on the 17/09/2013.i called african bank around the 20th of sept to request for a balance and was told buy a guy whom i forgot the name of that its a zero amount and he assured me that he is closing the account.to my suprise on the 15/10/2013 my account was debited by african bank and amount of 3100, when i called i was told that i will get a refund after two days cause my account was standing on a zero balance.cause i didnt want my other debit orders to bounce i personally went to the bank and reversed the payment on the 21/10/2013 i got a statement saying i still owe when i called i spoke to purity dube who was rude, she told me that i still have a balance outstanding of 1900 she said i have never called to close the account, and claimed that all calls are recorded so if all calls are recorded why cnt african bank pick up calls i made.
