As an FNB customer, I accepted an offer for cover on my credit card. When I finally put some proper life insurance in place, I contacted FNB to cancel the policy I have with them. The FNB LIFE department then confirmed my request that the cover has been cancelled and that I will no longer be covered - I assumed this meant that I would no longer pay for it either (my mistake). This was in the beginning of September.
Two months later, the debit order is still going off at the end of each month. I contacted them again, I was assured of a refund. The person who responded to my request even asked for my bank details. So far, two debit orders later and no refund received... I am not a happy customer. Rest assured FNB, I will be cancelling my credit card and moving to a different bank if this is the manner in which you conduct business.
