I went to old mutual mokopane on 05/02/2013 to cancel my funeral and life cover policies. I was assisted by this lady who was very nice to me. She made me write a letter of cancellation which must state my reasons for cancelling the policy and she further told me that the company will not debit my account come month end. Now at month end the company only cancelled my funeral policy and continued to deduct on the life cover. i went back to the branch and told the very same lady that money for the cancelled policy was deducted from my account and i even had a bank statement as proof. she contacted the head office and they told her that they never received any letter stating the cancellation of my life cover and i wrote another one there and then.
The problem started when i demanded that my money be returned to my account as its not my fault that they did not receive my letter of cancellation. this lady started to be rude and used a very bad tone when talking to me, we then went to my bank to reverse the debit order and u wont believe me, she just spoke to the teller at my bank and then just turned and walked away not even telling me how i will get my money. thumbs down old Mutual
