I took a credit life policy with 1life direct on the 24th April 2013 with the hope of subtituting it for the one I had on my personal loan as it was expensive. My policy was supposed to be effective on the 01 June 2013. My bank rejected the policy as it didn't have retrenchment cover. I then requested 1 life direct to add the cover but I was told they don't offer it.

I then asked them to cancell my policy on the 15th May 2013 as it was no longer neccesary. I was asked to send an e-mail to [Email Removed] which I did but I did not get any response. My account was debited with R350 on the 20th May 2013. I then called on the 23 May 2013 to confirm my cancellation and request my refund which I was told it would be processed within 15 working days. I still never got my money and due to this I want to also cancel my other policy I as I regard this as bad customer service. If 1life direct fails to pay me back R350, how will they pay my kids R1M when I am no longer alive.
