I have never come across such pathetic inefficiency in my life. After being convinced to switch from my original bank I filled in all the forms online. To summarise:
It took over 5 months to get my accounts activated. Still incomplete.
I had to fetch my cheque card from their Couriers. Hows that!!
My Debit orders were switched and then I was informed there was a discrepancy on my application and cannot receive the credit applied for. Now I'm stuck with less than I had from my original bank. Very Unethical.
The rest of my D/O's have still not been switched after 5 months.
I have complained to FNB complaints dept 4 times, the branch I have lost count. To date I have basically given up. I thought I would just tolerate it until I called the online banking service to find out about certain transaction fees and was transferred no less than 6 times to someone who simply put the phone down.
So now I will close my Business account, Personal account, Credit Card, Garage Card, Ebucks the list goes on and refer the matter to the CPA and ombudsman.
I am so sorry I left my original bank who may have their faults but, nothing near to FNB
Be very aware of their "switching" Ad campaign.
