I have been banking for years (paying their salaries) and when approached for help (loans) they couldnt haul out a list of requirements longer than the N1 jhb to cpt fast enough to dissuade you from wanting to do business with them. If I treated a repeat customer the way they treat me I would be out of business.
My turnover is in excess of 50K a month and is steadily growing, 1st they required I move all money through the bank acc so they can see that I actually do the business I say I do. After proving this to them the excuses came hard and fast, ranging from
1-acc not in proper classification- in other words open more accounts like cheque, business, credit card etc so they can earn more from me to
2-get an auditor to verify my business state (in other words pay another persons salary as well a paying the banks salary)
3-verify address (not like we havnt done that before)
I dont see how they can advertise on national TV that owning the home is better than renting but their actions dont reflect that. I couldve and still can aquire my present address at 420K (valued at 690K) wich in effect would decrease my rent payments by 1K in bond. Any other bank want my business???
