On 11 October 2013 I tried to draw money from the ATM at east rand retail, the ATM Swallowed my Card and was unresponsive, About a minute later I got 4 SMS'S for a R 1000.00 each. I drove to my ABSA Branch in Primrose Germiston to report this incident.
On 23 October I received a letter Dated 16 October 2013 from MRS NA Nqwaqa Operations that they are unable to refund me as my Card and Secret Pin was used they also stated that this card was cancelled on the 02/08/2013 and due to the fact that this incident happened on 11/10/2013 (more than two months after the card was cancelled) "Please note that the transaction were effected before the card was cancelled at the Branch"
On this letter there is two different card cancellation dates, as well as two different account numbers, and this is done by ABSA'S Operations Department, how can I trust a Bank with my money if they even have staff that is unable to despite a claim with the correct details.
I would advise people to Stay away from ABSA if ABSA look into my account they will see that I have an excellent credit rating, AND I AM SURE THAT ANY OTHER BANK WITH LESS WOULD WELCOME MY BUSINESS
