CANCELLATION OF A BANK CARD

I lost my bank card on june 11 2013, I went to Idutywa branch to cancel the card and was assisted by Linda Mapukata and was given 2396974. On my pay day the 20th June, money was withdrwan from my acoount R500, R400, R500 respectively. I got notification on my phone. I went to Idutywa Absa to ask what is going on as I had cancelled the card. They told me that they will call me as they still want to find out what happened. When at East london I went to Absa Oxford street and at Mdantsane as well and - was told to open acase with the police. On 19 *August 2013 I went to Idutywa again and phoned the head office and were informed that the card was never cancelled. How is it my fault that the account was never cancelled cause the Linda who was helping me even gave me a reference number for cancellation. I need feedback on this issue most importantly I need my money.
