ABSA ALLOWS TO FROM YOUR ACCOUNT

I have been a victim of ATM . I was distracted by 3 unknown individuals who spoke to me. The security guard sat under a tree and did nothing.
My card was swallowed by the ATM. A few minutes later, criminals were able to draw funds from my account at another ATM using my card and pin. The security guards response was that he suspected they tampering with the machine, but was having his lunch so could not do anything.

I received a a letter form Absa stating: "The cardholder has the responsibility of ensuring that the safety of his/her secret PIN is not compromised, as a transaction can only be effected at an ATM with a valid PIN" EXACTLY!!! How does criminals get our pin. My had covered the key pad and I surely did not give it to them. And how is possible for someone to draw funds from my account without my card.

I know of two separate people that were refunded by FNB and Std bank respectively as their security systems were clearly not upto standard. Absa needs to start valuing their customers.

Absa, No need to contact me unless you going to refund me. But I will not stop posting comments till consumers are aware of their security risks.
