I requested a quote on the FNB online banking site for a forex transaction. The site notified me that an FNB representative would contact me with a quote. No quote was shown to me, no rate, and I did not confirm it. The next day, I found that the money had somehow been converted and deposited into my bank account without my agreeing to the conversion rate.
I lodged a complaint, again on the FNB site, and was told I would be contacted within 24 hours. Almost 3 days later, I'm still waiting for an explanation.
As far as I'm concerned, converting my money without showing me a rate, without my confirming a rate, practically amounts to, and while I've had pretty good service in the past, the fact that I've had no contact from the bank whatsoever is distressing.
