I applied for a credit card last year at the Brandwag branch of FNB in Bloemfontein. I handed in all my documents. They gave me a quote which I denied as the interest rate was higher than what my current bank was offering. They told me to get a statement showing my interest rate and return. On my return, they informed they cancelled my application as I said "... I do not want to continue". Regardless, I reapplied and they told me because I contest the interest rate, it will take three days. THREE WEEKS later I phone FNB and got told my application was cancelled because there was no activity on the application. Lazarus from credit card complaints contacted me and I had to submit my application AGAIN!!! I sent them a statement from my other bank for the lower interest rate again. He came back to me and told me someone will phone me with a quote... it's now 3 weeks again and I am still waiting. I am asking for a credit card FNB... NOT A KIDNEY TRANSPLANT!
