Delayed feedback on insurance claim

My house was burgled on 14th Sept, I called the police immediately to report it. Monday 16th I phoned my insurance company to lay a claim for the goods. First of all they would promise to phone me back but they would not. When I eventually phoned again, each time going through the automated call centre, I was asked to produce proof that I did own the items that were! How can I possibly have the proof of ownership of things that I bought 3years ago!?! Each time me or my husband phones to follow up, Abdul is not available, but when we want to speak to his supervisor then he was suddenly available. The company refuses to replace the cellphone that was in the house when, although I am claiming and was paying for /loss of household contents! He never returned our calls nor e-mails. He would promise that he would submit our claim for authorization a particular day, but when we followed up on it it would not be as he promised. As I write this complaint, it has been two weeks since my property was but I have not received any money or items to replace the ones. But today the debit order went through for payment to them!!! Very angry!!!
