Savings account frozen due to Fica

I went to the Galleria branch on Saturday 31st August 2013 to change my cellphone number to receive OTP pins. I used my bank card on Sunday and made internet transactions on my account. Monday morning 2nd September 2013 I stopped to refuel my car and when I wanted to pay for the fuel, my card declined. I went inside the Engen shop to withdraw money and it was declined. I tried transferring money to another bank card in order to pay for the fuel and was declined. I could not pay for the fuel and had to phone someone to bring money to me in order to pay for the fuel already in my car. I came late for work as this was not part of my plans to wait for money to be brought to me. I phoned client services when I got to work and they told me that my account was frozen I need to Fica my account. Could the bank not inform me. I went to Briardene to unfreeze my account on Tuesday and were told to have a form completed by the landlord and I took it back today with an Ethekwini account in his name and they were not willing to help as I did not have an original posted letter to the address. How must I unfreeze my account, we do not receive post.
