FNB decided to freeze my account without any prior notification. I had just purchased fuel today and was ready to pay to my surprise my card declined twice, I then tried to withdraw cash and the slip came out saying; account frozen.
I contacted FNB immediately and I spoke to Ofetse she told me that my account has been frozen I requested an explanation from her why this happened she advised me that its because FNB do not have my updated details including proof of residence.
I asked why this proof is needed and if they could lift the hold, she told me that I need to visit my local branch. I start work at 06:00 am and finish at 15:30pm, how the does FNB expect me to visit my branch, I just started on this job and I cannot to take time off.
I need this to be sorted a.s.a.p before Monday, failure will result in me canceling my account and apply with other banks.
