Failure to notify

FNB decided to freeze my account this morning without any prior notification. I had just purchased fuel and food and was ready to pay. My card declined twice, i then tried to withdraw cash, and the slip came out saying ; account frozen!!!

I contacted FNB and they told me it has been frozen due to a large sum of money deposited into my account earlier this week, and that i have failed to provide proof of residence and my ID.

I asked why this proof is needed or if they could lift the hold, and nor head office or my local branch could assist me. So now i am stuck in a town until Monday so that i can give them the proof they need.

I hope they read this, and know that from as Monday after this matter is resolved they are one customer less. And that myself will be writing a letter to the Sunday Times about there incompetence to notify or assist their customers and leaving them stranded!!!
