Bank Account summarily blocked

I attempted to use my cellphone banking this morning and i received a message on the portal saying my account had been suspended. I then called the number provided and was told that i needed to visit a standard bank branch with certain document for some FICA related purpose. Why did they not have the decency to send me some form of notification prior to suspending my account. I do not have the required documents on me and now i need to borrow money and travel first to my place to get those documents then make my way to a branch. And yes my account balance is being reflected as R00.00... why am i being treated like a criminal for no apparent reason. Needless to say i am switching banks.
