No/poor service from Online Share Trading

I attempted to open a Online shares trading account in December.

The online application was easy but when it came to the FICA documentation I had to hand it in at a branch. I contacted the call center to ensure that I provide acceptable documents.

After obtaining the documents as instructed I handed them at the Sunninghill branch of Standard Bank.

At first the person at the branch did not agree with one of the document types. We then called the online share trading call center to verify. The documents were then to be sent via internal post to the online share trading office.

After a month I received an email from the person at the Sunninghill branch to collect my documents as they have been returned to the branch. I RECEIVED NO COMMUNICATION FROM ONLINE SHARE TRADING ON THE MATTER. My FICA documents are requested every time I log in and my account is not activated.

It has been more than a month since I applied. A call to the call center did not help as I was told that I could not be provided with a reference number and that I would be contacted within 24 hours. I have not received any communication or clarification. I have also emailed online share trading with no feedback
